Blogmas Day 4: Last Holiday (2006)

Working all your life and saving for retirement does not guarantee that you will make it to retirement and enjoy those savings.

Queen Latifah stars as a hardworking retail salesperson who is overworked and underpaid (like most of society). She does right by people and loves to cook, but she’s just barely scraping by.

After an accident at work, she learns from an unexpected doctor’s visit that she is suffering from a terminal disease. That sparks a change in her in that she decides to empty her bank account and live it up in Europe on a last holiday.

LL Cool J also stars in the film as the love interest.

This is another sweet romantic comedy from the 2000’s that aren’t made these days anymore.
